PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: I believe a trusted financial advisor relationship is a tremendous benefit to people that find the right person to work with their family on important decisions related to finances, investments, and insurance. I have enjoyed the many client relationships I’ve built and clients I have helped guide through all different life stages. I most enjoy scenario modeling and planning work with clients as I believe assisting them by illuminating the positions they are in and the outcomes from potential decisions they are making is incredibly beneficial.
I grew up here in San Dimas, CA, and as the second-generation manager of the K2 organization it’s been a substantial part of my life. I have loved the opportunity to make it a fit for the current generation while continuing to adapt and grow it to be an organization that will last into the future, providing advice to clients and a good platform for professional advisors to work from. It also taught me the power of relationships in business; we like to work with, and build trust with people we get along with and share similar values with.
I’ve had a lot of wonderful influencers in my life, but I think my grandfather and my father were the most formative. My grandfather was a Methodist minister who dedicated his life to taking care of and ministering to people in his church and his family. My father, also a Christian pastor and later a financial advisor, looked at his life as an act of service to those around him. I think I still have a lot to learn to get to their levels of service to others but it’s a continued commitment I try to bring to my life and business. I have been working in the financial industry for nearly 20 years starting in 2001, and am a CFP(R) professional.

ABOUT ME: At my core I like to build and grow myself and what’s around me. Right out of business school I became very interested in building racing cars and that was a great side business and hobby for me for years. Ultimately, the craft taught me a lot about paying attention to details and how important good preparation is to successful outcomes.
I have an amazing wife and four young and energetic children that I spend most of my time outside of the office with. Being their dad is the one of the great privileges of my life and I work hard to be present even with significant business demands. Aside from business and time with my family I love being outdoors and continuing to learn new things. Hiking, biking, adventure, a good book or documentary and I’m a happy camper.
